BioPharmaChem Ireland Impact Conference & Awards Dinner

PMTC were delighted to be Gold Sponsors for the BioPharmaChem Ireland Impact Conference & Awards Dinner on Wednesday 6 May 2026. This event was co-hosted by Enterprise Ireland & IDA Ireland. This event brought together senior leaders from across the biopharma chem industry and government for the prestigious BioPharmaChem Impact Awards 2026.

An excellent anel session took place on Digitalisation & AI in a GxP Environment: balancing Speed with Compliance - We often say the industry is drowning in data, yet what we really need is actionable information. Turning insight into impact must be our focus.

✅ Engage regulators early and often, Regulators are open to collaboration. Proactive engagement helps accelerate innovation rather than slow it down.

✅ Celebrate the quick wins, not just the big vision. When applying AI and predictive analytics—such as equipment failure prediction—capture the incremental benefits: faster issue resolution, reduced downtime, improved decision-making. These wins matter.

✅ Collaboration is essential, Progress won’t happen in silos. Industry-wide collaboration, combined with strong partnerships with high‑tech experts, is critical to moving the AI agenda forward.

✅ Be braver—tell Ireland’s pharma manufacturing story. Ireland has world‑class expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing. We need to shout louder, with confidence, about what we do well.

✅ Build AI fluency with clear guardrails,  Improving AI literacy across organisations is essential, alongside the right governance and guardrails to responsibly track and manage AI use.

✅ Get involved and move faster together, Active participation in industry working groups—and continued collaboration with regulators—will help unlock speed, alignment, and shared progress.

Together, these actions can turn AI ambition into real, measurable value for pharma manufacturing in Ireland and beyond.

Panel members were Brian Hanly; Julie Devereux; Mikhail Khazanchuk; Stuart Jones; Darren O'Brien and Damon Warnock.

PMTC were delighted to be shortlisted for ‘Collaboration in BioPharmaChem Award 2026’ category and honoured to be in such respected company - Arran Chemical Company; Brightbeam. Huge congratulations to the winners Brightbeam. And congratulations to all the winners on the night.

Thanks to all at BioPharmaChem Ireland for a great day and evening.
